Admission Requirements
- Spring admission only
- Submit an application to the College of Education no later than the following:
- Submit an application to the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa no later than the following:
- October 1 for spring semester (September 1 priority deadline)
Apply: manoa.hawaii.edu/admissions/ - Pay non-refundable $70 Application Fee
- Submit official non-UH transcript(s) reflecting conferral of bachelor’s degree and any graduate level course work
- 2.75 cumulative and content major GPA; 2.50 cumulative and content major GPA for mathematics, health and physical education, and science content areas
- Content Knowledge Verification requirement as defined by the Hawaiʻi Teacher Standards Board
- 40 hours of documented current group leadership involvement with secondary-aged youth
- Personal admissions interview

Art, Dance, English Language Arts, English Language Learners/Multilingual, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Studies, Theatre, World Languages Major Requirements
Minimum grade of C or better is required in all courses Program (36 credits)
No other course work can be taken during teaching residency. Additional courses may be required for those applying to Art, Music, Health and Physical Education, World Languages, and Social Studies Required Graduation Grade Point Averages
